You will have to gradually increase your strength. Don't try to do it quickly, it will take time. Since you are going for strength you will need to work your upper body every other day. You need to rest a day in between workouts. Work your legs, abs and cardio on the other days. Eat well and get plenty of rest. Drink lots of fluids too. Bench the most you can do three times x three sets. Each week add a small amount of weight. Be sure to have a spotting partner. It would be good for you to military press, do dips and pull-ups too. Also, do curls and wrist curls. Just remember to increase gradually. If you injure yourself you will delay your progress. Good luck!

Im trying out for WR next year. If you can only bench 85 now, I think 225 is a bit dramatic, but it can be done. Listen to the guy above me, he knows his stuff. Most importantly, GIVE YOUR MUSCLES TIME TO GROW! Dont work out every single day, it will mess you up, and you wont see an improvement. If you dont have access to a gym, the best things to do are push ups and sit ups. Push ups work basically your whole upper body, so theyre great. The best way to work your long biceps and forearms is definitley curling. When you work out, the best thing to do is do each rep slowly, its better than putting in alot of reps. If you do 10 perfect push ups, spending about 5 seconds on each one, its better than doing 20. Above all, MAKE SURE YOUR DOING EACH EXERCISE RIGHT. You could injure yourself, and, you will have done all that work and got very little done.

Ok im 16, I had the same problem when I started football freshman year i wasnt too strong, i play d tackle/tight end/ linebacker, and even sometimes fullback in practice, u dont have to be strong to play you just gotta be able to recognize what the other team is trying to do, try creatine monohydrate it gives you extra energy by putting ATP in to your muscles, your body makes its own ATP and u get it from eatin meat, ATP is Adensine Tryphosphate, it fuels your body and you burn trillions of them each day, make sure u drink alot of water tho or u wont see any effect.
