I think he had the basic outline written but had to narrow it down to episode 4 for his first film.

That is the legend but the reality is that he had help writing the episodes after episode four was released. The basic idea was that there would be nine episodes released in flash back form. What was in those episodes is the product of Lucas licensing other writers to write books on the subect ad hi taking those ideas to create even better episodes.

probable. If he does, i'm hoping he hires a experienced author, able director, and respectful producer and hence locks himself in his abode until the flicks are interior the can. He completely ruined the sequence with a million, 2, and 3 -- esp. how he then tampered with the unique videos to lead them to extra healthful (which they did no longer, besides) with the "prequels." He has no admire for the alluring issues he created with the unique untampered trilogy. BTW, i'm a super fan of famous individual Wars yet no longer of the mess Lucas has made with the recent videos (or the redone originals).

I think he had the basic outline but remember when star wars 1 came out special effects were new and they didnt know if people would like it or not and they thought that story stood best on its own - in case it flopped and there were no sequels.
