I see a day when the USPS should stop all mail delivery, except for restricted delivery, express, and packages.

When I can receive my bills, my bank statements, and even letters via electronic means, why mail a letter? Even my bank or insurance company can sign and scan a document, save it as a .PDF and email it to me now, not mail it to me to receive 3-8 days later.

Just the other day, someone asked if we had a fax machine to sign a letter and return. I said, "why do I need a fax machine?" I have a scanner and email. They paused for about two seconds and then said, "oh, okay, I guess that will work also"...duh, ya think???

No business relies on it. We once had two mail deliveries a day and one on Saturday. Up until 1970 or so. They have cut all they can.

No, that isn't really going to because save money the carriers will have to work longer hours to keep up with the flow of mail.
