Simply relocating is not a problem. If you wish to stay indefinitely, that would be a little more complicated. You need a purpose for staying and that involves visas and all that stuff. If you want to come on a student visa, you will have to find a school that will sponsor you for your visa. There are several schools in Japan that have language arts programs and are eager to acquire foreign students, so that isn't big problem. The problem is, as the others have pointed out, Language. If you do not have a working ability of the Japanese language you will be required to attend language classes and that takes up visa time. It would probably be best if you started studying the Japanese language now so you won't be totally in the dark when you come.

Good luck.

It won't be easy. You will need to find good exchange program. There are several American (like Temple Uni.) and International Universities (Sophia Uni.). You may want to look into those. I hope you speak Japanese otherwise. I think a lot of the Universities have programs for International Students but they don't accept very many. Not to mention how expensive it is to live in Japan. On a student visa there is a limited amount of time you can work.

If you are only 18, then it is difficult. Wait until after university. After you have a university degree, you can teach English or you can find other work.

It's VERY hard. And unless you have a BA / BS degree, you won't be able to get a job. Unless you want to work in a bar...BTW, it's "too", not "to"...
