Don't Shave. The hair grows back twice as fast and twice as thick. Use a depilatory, like Nair or any drugstore-brand name hair removing cream. You just put it on your legs during your shower, let it on for a few minutes, then wipe it off. It makes the hair grow back not as fast and not as much. Make sure you use mousse or lotion for legs for hair removal. Tell her about depilatories, because if you compare the pros and cons of
Razor-Shaving:
Pros:
removes hair (duh)
sometimes has a deodorant stripe on it for armpits
(as you can see, these are WEAK pros, hardly pros at all)
Cons:
Can leave red marks
Hair grows back coarser and faster
VERY easy to cut yourself
Depilatory Pros:
No injury risk
Gets rid of hair for longer than shaving OR waxing (hair does grow back after some time, but it gets right down to the roots so it takes a LONG time, leaving your legs silky smooth)
absolutely painless (waxing kills)
SUPER easy
Cons:
ARE there any?

The only thing you have to do is continuously complain about how hairy your legs are(although they may not be as hairy as you make them sound).I myself also started shaving at the age of 12.What I did when I wanted to start shaving was that I just asked her if I could start shaving.Yeah...I was a little embarrassed but at least now I know how to shave and don't have hairy legs!

Like someone else said, I would tell her that having hairy legs is embarassing and that people are making fun of you (even though it's not true). Hopefully, she would be understanding.
Also, I might as well take this time to say that I don't understand mothers that say that 11-12 year old daughters are too young to shave their legs. I think that if you're old enough to grow leg (or underarm) hair, you're old enough to shave.

Wow.. 12 years old. I started shaving at age 11 and i think i may know why she doesn't want you too, well i mean its not that she doesn't want you to it's just a pain once you start doing it. Just tell her, I'm 12 years old, mature and my leg hair shows it. I need to shave them and if ya need help ask her. Thats the best advice i can give you. Good Luck and Happy Early Birthday.

mothers could properly be stressful! i'm 10. i could desire to commence. I asked my mom while i replaced into 9 final Christmas. She stated we can re-bypass to the priority as quickly as i'm donning Capri's, shorts, etc. wager what! She on no account did! i'm gonna commence telling her my legs are itchy. Oh and that i began shaving my underarms. without her understanding. i will finally improve my hand at school! back on concern. i be responsive to it rather is stressful. All my acquaintances shave. and that i've got brown hair so which you will rather see it. listed right here are greater advice: tell your mom your legs are itchy. placed on shorts round her and scratch your legs. perhaps ask your friends for help. in case you're ever paying for with a chum, purchase razors and conceal them. If that doesn't artwork, ask your mom to place you to mattress. tell her approximately your problem then. mothers are generally the sweetest once you are going to mattress. desire THIS WORKS!!!!!

Hi. Well, I would just walk in on a casual day and say something like you feel responsible and old enough to shave your legs. I wouldn't bring up anything about your friends being able to. That only says to her that you only want to do it because of your friends, and that you're not old enough or responsible enough. And be yourself. Don't be nervous. Make sure that if she still says No, be responsible, take a breath, and accept that fact, and maybe, just maybe, next time you go to ask her, she'll think you're ready. But don't be decieveing either. You've just got to be yourself.
Good Luck!

i didn't grow hair untill i was gonna turn 14. now im almost 15 but when i started shaving i didn't tell my mom. i just made it obious. i got a pack of razors and put them on the table. You should do that. if she wants to talk about it then its her choice. if she doesn't say anything, then shaving your legs is okay, and if she says something about it just tell her. mom im not that little anymore, i should have a choice on how to take care of my body. just try to sound mature and Dont tell her ''because they let my friends do it''

Sometimes, it's just best to go right out and say, "Mom, I want to and think I need to start shaving my legs. Could you teach me how?" Simple as that. Although it might be a bit embarassing, every girl has gone through this... even your mom!!

My mom told me that I should start shaving when I was in 4th grade!
Just tell her that you get embarrassed when you wear shorts to school and people see your hairy legs. She should understand. Don't mention that everyone else does it if she responds like that.
Good luck!
