I wanna be a violinist for an orchestra and i really dont know that many colleges for that career except berklee but i need more options...can someone help me?? oh yea...i have a 2.6 gpa right now but i expect to have a 2.9 or 3.0 n above ma senior year.

Florida State University has an excellent music program.

Be sure to attend all the college expos your school/county hosts so you can talk to as many different schools as possible.

Also look on the websites of some orchestras you admire and check out the bio section. Where did those musicians go to school?

Cincinnati Conservatory for Music (CCM): very good, but very selective and difficult to be accepted

Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio

Cleveland Conservatory

My three kids are violinists, but only one pursued it in college. He couldn't get in CCM and went to Ohio State. Good luck!

welll have you even try to look online for any colleges you wanna to go to in youre own town. i think all colleges have everything else alike high school what they do have . and they must have a musicians classes that students can pick from . . maybe you should ask youre teachers if they can help you out or you can also ask somebody who you know went to college and ask them if there any other colleges school have something youre looking for .
