It could also be a Jaguar.
seriously - nothing like trhat should come out of your engine. some mufflers - particularly aftermarket may use a fibreglass mat to absorb sound. (glass - packs!). usually they eventually break up and blow out.

are you running a "glass pack" muffler?
if you are it could be the fiberglass coming out of the muffler
