Last night My signal lights began flashing,and the truck continually tried starting itself?When I opened the door the chim was going off and the radio was on.I started the truck, but even with the truck on it still tried starting itself?I had to unhook my Batt. connection to stop it,Tried reconnecting and it still does it.Someone help,is my truck haunted, does anyone know????

The starter solenoid is an electro magnet. when energized it makes contact with 2 internal posts. Occasionally they create an arc & weld itself stuck.

Wow, talk about catching it just in time. Have your truck towed to the dealer. It sounds like the recall item that caused so many vehicles like yours to catch on fire. Whatever you do, don't reconnect the battery cable - the ignition switch is shorting out.

My Dad's 97 F-150 got struck by lightning and he experienced similar problems so it could just be an electrical problem... I would definitly get it checked out.

sounds like your starter relay is going bad, I had that happened to me when I was leaving my brothers grave, It was kind of haunting. but after I changed that I never had that problem again.

your trusk has a solenoid switch or a bad sensor. i remember years ago my 57 ford did that and it was a bad solenoid

yeah, you have a short in the ignition switch. Garage or dealer or electrical specialty shop.

sounds like your anti thief relay bad, ignition switch don't think it can cause that, something wrong with your alarm system.

your solenoid switch is locked up...............follow your positive cable to the solenoid switch....replace that switch......you,ll be fine!
