Ive heard of the new 1997 version and I want to know if its better.

I think the 1997 series was much better than the original series because the 1997 version is more up to date. The pictures are much clearer and crisper. But otherwise, everything else is pretty much the same.

Maybe I’m just a traditionalist, but I almost always seem to prefer the original over any revamped or improved later versions. There are exceptions, but Speed Racer isn’t on eof them. Go with the first one.

I would have to say the original but then again i don't watch the show.
