My van has been acting up periodically, it will stall out when I take my foot off the gas pedal, such as when I am slowing down or stopping, and this is the only time it will stall out, but it doesn't do it all the time, and it will start right back up after it stalls, but I have to keep my foot on the gas in order to shift it into drive to get it to get going, once it is going down the road it is fine, but when I slow down or stop it does it again... what do you think?

mailbox is on the mark, my friends truck was doing the some thing and i removed the EGR valve and gave it a good cleaning, this thing has a little dick that go in and out and when it get hung up on the built up carbon motor does what yours is doing, if you have a check engine light on take it to auto zone and they will code it for you for free, if not, the EGR is easy to remove and clean, check it out !

Could be in need of a simple tune up or you have a clogged fuel or air filter. The Idle air control valve or EGR valve may be clogged as well. Either way, tune it, and clean the intake induction for the fuel system, that will take care of the EGR and IAV

good luck......

It may need a tune up, or the computer adjusted on it. I would recommend you take it to a mechanic, or to another place such as Jiffy Tune, where they could do it quickly. It doesn't seem expensive or serious at this point. Best of luck to you.
