That depends on what kind of fun things you're looking for. Museums? Clubbing? Sight-seeing? Shopping? Be more specific, please!

I can only answer what's cool in Munich, sorry: I would first recommend a tour of the city. They are usually bilinugual, and there are a couple. That way you can see the city, learn a bit, and maybe find something interesting.
I would strongly recommend going up what is known as the 'alter Peter'- an old church tower with a great view of the Marienplatz from right in the middle (the advantage to this as opposed to the Frauenkirche is that you can see the Frauenkirche as well). If you have the time, you can take a train a short ways from Munich to Dachau, which used to be a concentration camp. Not exactly cheery, but interesting. Many people think no visit to Munich is complete without going to the Hofbräuhaus, but I personally found it overrated (expensive, the people were not friendly, and loud and packed). I woiuld not however, say that it was a waste of time. It is fairly interesting, and it is what tourists expect of 'German Culture'.

Deutsches Museum in Munich on the beautiful Isar river is great! There are old trains, cars, airplanes, a replica of a coal mine, everything you can imagine there. They have a neat Zoo for Munich also, which is beautiful much more natural in setting than the U.S. zoos.
Hofbrau Haus and Hard Rock Cafe Munich are next to Marienstrasse... gotta go there and see the Glockenspiel anyway... Our Lady (Frauenkirche) church is great, a must-see it is a famous part of the Munich skyline.
Also, the Olympiastadion, olympic stadium.. has its own Mayor it is so big.. Take the Ubahn or subway and just enjoy a great, city. If you are there late September the Oktoberfest is also a good thing to see.
