I know this would be a very long list but i just seem to be confused about our history and all the different wars. Thank you!

I am going to answer this because it sounds fun. This is just wars in "western" civilization that I think are most important and the ones that got us where we are today. Enjoy.:

Approx 1200 BC: The Trojan War (maybe)
431 BC: Peloponnesian War (Ancient Greece, Athens vs Sparta &co)
3rd-2nd Centuries BC: Punic Wars (Roman Republic vs Carthage)
250-350AD: Many, many small wars in Rome, including civil war
Late 8th Century: Charlemagne's wars of conquest
1066: Battle of Hastings: Norman Conquest of England
1081-1492: spanish Reconquista (spain reconquered from the moors and unified)
1095-1291: The Crusades
1201: The fourth crusade: Italians and other Latin Christians invade and occupy orthodox Constantinople
1337-1453: Hundred Years War (england vs France)
1454-1466: Thirteen Years War (various german and polish cities vs each other)
1455: War of the Roses (Civil war in England)
(at this point there are many, many small wars in europe. This lasts until the 19th century)
1585: War between England and Spain featuring the defeat of the Spanish Armada
1618: Thirty Years war. All of europe vs Each other
1639: British Civil war. Catholics vs Protestants
1756: Seven Years War (France vs England, includes the "French and Indian War"
1775: American War for Independence
1792: French Revolution (sort of chaos rather than a war)
1801: Barbary War
1812: War of 1812
1846: Mexican-American War
1861: US Civil War
1862: France vs Mexico
1897: Boxer Rebellion (England vs Chinese rebels)
1848: Italian Independence wars
1899: Boer War
1904: Russia vs Japan
1914: First World War
1936: Spanish Civil War
1939: Second World War
1948: Arab-Israeli War
1946: First Indochine War
1950: Korean War
1954: Algerian Independence war starts
1956: Suez war
1959: Start of Vietnam War
1973: Yom Kippur war
1978: Israeli Invasion of Lebanon
1979: Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan
1980: Iran-Iraq War
1982: Falklands War
1983: US invasion of Grenada
1989: US invasion of Panama

You're not kidding, are you? Look, even so much human history as we can know is a vast vast thing. You may just as well ask for a timeline of the grains of sand on your nearest beach. I know this will not win me the bronze ring, but you have to narrow your perspective. If you know what you can about some particular place and time, you can broaden your knowledge from there.
