I bought a pair of professionally made to measure curtains which were in the sale at T.J's. (Someone had them made and did not want them!) The curtains have a pinch pleat heading but no tape on the back to hang them. Do I sew some tape on or do I somehow hang them via the pleat?

This means your curtains have been made properly by hand and not with tape. You need to buy Pin Hooks which simply stab into the back of each pleat at the desired height ie High for a pole or low for a track.

Here is a link that shows how to sew on the tape, but it sounds like you already have the pleats. You just need the hangers. They are metal hooks that slide up the back of the pleat to hang on a specialty rod. They sell them at walmart, and as someone else said, they usually have bags of them at thrift stores. http://www.wrights.com/class/homedec/pinchpleat/pinchpleat.htm

Yes, I've got curtains like that. You can buy a metal gizzmo that is a cross between a hook and a pin. Pin that to the back of the pleat and hook it to the curtain ring.

You hang them by the pleat.

The "metal gizzmo" are called hangers, curtain hangers. The best place to look for them cheaply is at a resale shop. They usually have bags of em.

I think you should sew some tape on because it probably is fast and easy.

If you don't want to invest in a rod, you can use velcro tape, just peel and stick.
