It works the same as without nipple piercings.

Although it is entirely possible to breastfeed while the jewelry is in, there are several hazards to this:
1) risk of the jewelry dislodging and becoming a choking hazard for the baby
2) difficult for the baby to get a good latch, depending on the jewelry and the baby of course
3) risk of infection in mother
4) risk of passing on bacteria to child through unclean jewelry

....for these reasons, it is best if the mother takes the jewelry out while feeding the baby.

You definately would have to take the piercing out, at least whilst you are breast feeding anyway. It's in the childs best interest that this be done, there's no reason why you can't put it back in or have it repierced once you have finished breastfeeding.

Take out the piercings. You wouldn't want to cut the baby's mouth or choke on it.

thats obvious. the peircings would have to be taken out. i had my one nipple pierced and it had to go. it would obviously pose a huge choking harzard to the baby if you left it in!!!!! but after its out, breastfeeding would be absolutely fine

You have to take the ring out..... Otherwise you will take the risk of it coming undone and harming your child.
