Any 'top notch' store I go into seems to be that way. You see the girls all dressed up in the store's own brand named clothes and wearing tons of make-up.. they look like they're from the Laguna Beach series or something and the guys are the same way..
You have to look like them or else you don't matter. Even when I asked nicely for help, they were still very rude to me and acted like they didn't care. Not saying every single person is like this, but a majority of the people I've met.

It really does depend on where you go. I have been in a few Hollisters that dont even talk to me... but its not because of what you look like or anything... its cause they prolly hate their job. If they only talked to people who had the "hollister look"... they would talk to me because i work at a hollister. so that part isnt true about them not liking you because of what you look like. At the Hollister that i work at... everyone has great customer service. Everyone is so nice and helpful. And I hate it that people stereotype people that work there... just because you work there... doesnt make you a snob. I dont even wear their clothes.... its just a job for me. just there to make a little extra cash.

hmm well it's sort of a biased question so you can't really answer it. Certain times when i've gone in, there have been workers that DO give you looks of death, but other times there are people who are really nice and do a good job. maybe in the hollister/abercrombie that you go to, they dont do a good job of hiring.

One of my best friends worked at Abercrombie this summer and she is the SWEETEST person I know. But from personal experience in shopping in the stores I think it has to do with WHERE the store is located. If it's in a city where people are normally stuck up, then I think you should know what to expect.

They better be DAMNED nice. I own a couple of thousand shares of A&F. I'm making an early retirement off of the blanket ignorance and insecurity of youth (heck of a lot easier than trying to leverage it out of your parents directly). If you take your sorry, insignficant self into Abercrombie to overpay for a crappy hoody I want my employees to kiss your butt sideways. Vacation homes don't pay for themselves!!

Yeah, they tend to look down on people not in a certain stereotype. And I really don't fit into that type... I'm too old (I'm only 29!!) and I'm not a size 2.
