Work on your agility and quickness. If you got good hands then you shouldnt be bad. Also work on your vertical leap. And one way to get the guys to earn your respect is whenever you get the chance to tackle someone hit them as hard as you can

the only respect you need is for yourself. you cant win over everyone . lead by example go in like a pit bull . in practice dont whine if they line you up against a bigger faster man take him on give it your all . if you get beat down get back up and line up again. i love football not a day goes by that wish i could still play. play like its the last time . enjoy being on that field it takes blood sweat and tears there are no easy fixes just heart. one of the best drills for endurance is what we used to call supermans. line up in the endzone and sprint 20 yards then walk 5 then sprint 20 more then walk 5 and so on take no breaks other than the 5 yard walks . this may sound strange but most patterns in high school are no longer than 15 to 20 yards not alot of fly patterns unless the qb is a stud and pretty accurate. and even when a run is called you have to sell your route to the db covering you to give your back some room. as far as speed you have fast and you have quick.fast is how quickly you can go from point a to b in a straight line. quick is barry sanders who could make a man pull a hammy without even touching him. shuttle drills are the best for helping with quickness and there are all kinds of them. one is have a friend time you on a football field run out 5 yards touch the line with your hand run back 5 then back 10 and back 10 keep track of your times that will show you your progress there are countless other shuttle drills just ask your coach. running the tires or ladders is also good helps with quick feet. running hills or bleachers is also good helps with your explosiveness. just remember have fun it takes alot of hard work and heart but its a great game. work hard and the respect will come

Good coaching is the first key. If you're tall, they'll put you at wideout, if you're small, probably in the slot. Good speed isn't everything. You can overcome height and speed by being quick, and running clean, sharp routes. As far as training, drills such as running sprints with a parachute will make you quicker off the line of scrimmage.

And to earn respect? Be there everyday, don't complain. You show up, catch what's thrown your way, lay out for balls, take hits and get up without talking, and you'll quietly earn their respect. Or you can burn the 1st team D for a few td's, that'll get their attention as well.

Good luck!

try some basket ball drills ,,line up on baseline and sprint towards the first line ,touch with your hand and sprint back to baseline, then from baseline go to 2nd line and so on...that would get you a quick burst that receivers need to be successful,,,and for the stamina and endurance just running should help you fine ,,not a good runner then, go so far one day and keep expanding your distance ,,you can do it by day week biweekly,,but the farther you can run the better ...as for as the guys on your team ,,expect that but dont take it to heart all freshman are gonna get it ,,and you will do it when your a junior -senior to them also...let your hand to the talking for you,go out there and catch everything if you gotta dive in practice for a catch do it,,they will give you respect cause they will say "dam this kid never gives up or this kid catches everything" always ,always let your play do the talking ,,the respect will come believe me. good luck kid and hope it works out for you

Keep working out never quit on yourself. Study tape of your favorite recivers, and try to work with someone that has played for this coach or someone that is on the team now. Do alot of running and when you think you are tired run some more and don't worry about time unless you are doing sprints. Use ankle weights when running and runn againt the wind.

respect isn't earned nor taken, JUST DO YOUR THING! You must work on your 40 time, then work on your endurance....keep in mind that the endurance I speak of is for a whole football game, not just the ability to keep running. Football has what we call downs........these are what players call breathers, so actual real-time endurance can be developed over time, just work to last betweeen 100-85% for the ENTIRE game

work on your mile. u need to run a lot. 10:49 is pretty slow. the keys to football(especially at wide receiver) are speed, discipline, endurance, good hands, knowing your assignment and getting it done to beyond the best of your abillity, and YOUI NEED TO WANT IT!!!!
as for respect: do your job right and
do it amazingly. don't *****(no offense)
