We had cable modem with wireless internet at our old house. We just recently moved to another state and trying to avoid wireless fees from the cable company, we decided to get a wireless router. It works fine and dandy, but with 2 laptops it runs slow and we are trying to avoid that. I know with more computers on the system it will run like a turtle, but does anyone know how it can be fixed. We have done this previously but Im not sure how it was done. Any help would be great.

Actually, the number of computers on a router - should affect the speed all that much at all. Is your router connected to a desktop at all? Did you name your computers? Did you try to connect to a home network? I have 3 computers that are wireless and no problems on a much older router...... can't imagine why everything is slow - unless your internet connection is slow. I'm assuming you have cable?..... I'm not sure how DSL works with multiple computers... cable's pretty awesome.
