I show my love in a lot of different ways. Trying to help people, lending money to a friend that is going through a rough time, trying to make someone laugh who is having a bad day, trying to get people's minds off their troubles, if even for a minute. Giving my time, my hugs, consoling words, acting silly if need be, always, always being there for my friends, no matter what. Even if they are being silly. With my true love, I show him how I feel with words and through touch. I think it is the most effective way to communicate.

For the wonderful man in my life-- I send him cards, loving emails , tell him my feelings on the phone. We have a long distance relationship for now --when I move to be with him this summer, I will show him my love by being a good companion, doing things for him, and being a good listener, partner, lover, and a friend.

I'm a passionate person, and all my family is deceased, so I strive to make sure the ones I care about, know it. It may be a warm hug and soothing words to the scared Alzheimer's patient, where I work. It may be paying the phone bill of the friend who just got laid off. It may be buying a dozen bags of rawhides for my dogs. It may be sending a eCard to an online friend that I've never met. It may be allowing space when it's needed. It may be giving myself completely, when it's wanted. It may be as simple as a wink and a smile that says "we have a secret"

I show love by listening to my friend's problems and giving an honest answer when asked about things and I don't like to be judgemental to people. I like to let them be themselves whatever that is. I also show love to my cat by taking care of her and holding her and looking deep in her little sweet and trusting eyes....just lost my other cat Patches last Thursday and my heart is breaking so I need love now too.

Besides the usual, by being dependable. By being strong. By listening. By sharing. By being considerate. By holding her when she goes to pieces. By taking care of her when she is sick. By making her jobs easier. By always opening the car door for her before I get in.
Oh, yeah. And I buy her little presents for no reason at all, like a single rose from a flower shop.
It has been working pretty well for many, many years.

I try to in everything I do... in the small things that most people wouldn't even notice and in the big things, by showing respect, and in caring what the other person wants in giving space and still being there...everything

I try very hard to express in words how much I love my sweetheart. I also like to send her cards. I know she means everything and I'll love her for the rest of my life and that's all I know.

With hugs and kisses, tell them, do small things like leave a chocolate on their pillow or scrape the ice from the windshield of their car, and cook for them.
