Yes, I would (and do) get slightly annoyed when people, myself included, overuse exclamation marks. I find that they're very obtrusive, almost obnoxious punctuation marks and it's not necessary to use them more than a few times, generally speaking, so it's a little irritating when people use them constantly for no apparent reason.

I had a friend who did that and it was a guy so it was even more annoying and weird.

No, just when they use constant caps locks that really gets on my nervs

why yes it does, they take sooooo much longer to read than does a simple 'period.'
