Dennis Northcutt is a small, but quick wide receiver that, in the past, has primarily been used as a return man in Cleveland. The Jaguars are hoping he can step up his game and use his speed on the field so they can add a deep threat to their offense since Reggie Williams and Matt Jones are larger, more possession based receivers. One of the main reasons they signed him is because the coaching staff has been disappointed in the play of Ernest Wilford.

Dennis Northcutt is a pretty good Number 2 Wide reciever.
He's played for the Browns for the last seven seasons. He only managed to start 6 games last year with 22 receptions.

He is a WR who used to play for the Browns. The Jags signed him because he is an veternan WR who will help would with some of the Jags younger receivers and plus, the Jags seriously lack depth in that position. Northcutt would help with that, and he can give Leftwich (or Gerrard) a target to throw to.

he's a good receiver, not great not bad, but he is a good receiver to have on your team. He's also an excellent kick/punt returner. Sadly, i think that he will probably wind up being the #2 receiver for the jaguars this year, unless they sign or draft someone.
