There's no definite answer to your question. Sometimes they start to make more noise until the final spin. Sometimes they just don't spin up after the computer was turned back on. Sometimes they start losing data more and more and it becomes apparent something smells in the fish market.

hmm, well i had that problem before but it does mean you need to get a brand new pc software to put in and you might have do re start over again in the beinging and make youre own username and etc.. . or can be that you hadnt clean out youre computer by checkin out of you have any virus and bugs in side of youre hard drive . iam not sire can cause something else to do that.

Slows Down a lot and freezes when starting up or shutting down.

if when you start your computer you get the blue screen of death, that's a pretty good symptom.
