My name is Alayna or Alaina and I need a nickname. I have tried Layne and Bird (like laynie bird first lady) but it always ends up as bird brain or bird tird and I am sick of it!! Please come up with something unique!!

My 23 month old daughter's name is Alaina Ann so I think I'm a little partial to the name........ ;D
We call her Lani Jane (derived from Lady Jane!)
We call her Laners
We call her Zany Lani (she is a crazy girl :p )
Now we also call her; Pretty Girl, Pumpkin, Pooka, Pooka-Dooka, and a ray of other cutsie names.
If you are having folks call you something that you aren't so comfortable with, be sure to tell them politely that you don't like being called that and if they can't come up with something cute to please use your name which is Alaina!!! I have red hair and all while growing up I was called all sorts of things......and mostly just by my family and not my friends......but I was sure to speak up when they 'overdid' it!!! First, the first lady was not called Laynie Bird, she was Lady Bird. Just so you know in the future.
Second, other people are supposed to give you nicknames.

My best friend's name is ALAINA, and I ALWAYS call her "Lai"! She likes it, i was the first person to start calling her that... go for Lai!
