TIm Duncan didnt play high school basketball. He was a swimmer in the Virgin Islands and the summer between senior year of high school and freshman year of college he grew from 6'6 to 6'11 and the coach at Wake Forest saw him on campus and told him to come out for the team. The rest is history.

I'm pretty sure that all schools will let you walk-on if you didn't play the sport in high school. But instead of D-III might i suggest a D-II college-Mars Hill in Mars Hill, NC. They are starting to build a pretty good team with a lot of local talent. Best of luck to ya

Well, I'll tell you this, and this is all I know. One of my buddies, who is a senior (6'6"), played ball his frosh, soph, and junior years in HS. But, he moved and transfered schools, and was unable to even try-out becuase of some freak accident involving his back. In fact, they had to take him to a hospital during tryouts and informed him that he couldve been paralyzed. However, recently he recieved a full ride to play ball for a lower divison university. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but maybe it'll give you a little more hope. Good Luck!

They will if you're good enough. In D-III everyone tries out for the team because at that level they don't give scholarships. Good luck.
