A culture imposes its own set of "acceptable" morals in it's social contract with the member people of that culture. Since the aesthetic values are the acceptable values of that culture's contract, it would follow that the aesthetics of base biological needs would have to seem to conform to the approved contract.

However, as every parent knows about 13-17 year-olds, there is a certain amount of rebellion that requires a "convincing" and "trying" phase where the contract bounds are tested. So, the most base need to be the strongest ties to the culture.

Understand the rewards of the contract and why they are important in the gestalt of an economical, social, ecological, and sexual environment,.by perpetuating the culture.
