Talk about the media's influence on culture. you could discuss the recent obsessions over bald Britney or the death of Anna Nicole and how they affect the general population. Since Anna Nicole had such a spotlight and had her own reality show, her actual life became a TV show to many people when she died. With all the jokes, it seems that people did not separate her "acting" with reality. In addition, with Britney Spears, (i missed the latest headlines, but this is what i heard last) she has either post-pardon depression or is bi-polar. These mental issues are the root of her crazy behavior, but that is still seen as entertainment by the media. The lines between what is real and what is "acting" has been blurred by the media, and many people have difficulty separating the two.
