There are many reasons some women take vacation time and maternity leave. Also Because they can also get away with it. The question is why would HR pay the man and woman with the same job different amounts and pay the man more despite the work being equal. Because they can afford it. The man may get paid a little more but it is no skin off of their back since it doesn't hurt them. The man negotiates and bargains wages women usually do not (however the negotiation is coming to an end) The sad thing is more and more women are going into office jobs etc but men are not. I know a male CNA who gets paid more then the other CNA's they don't like paying him what he asked for and they have cut back on his hours. From what I understand they are not happy with him.

I disagree with you because first of all, I am a woman, and I think that women and men should be treated equally, no matter what the work is. I know that women do have those stressful situations, but that's just part of life. You can't blame them for that. Women and men, though we do have some differences; we are still both human.

Yes, Do you think it's ok for 2 men doing the same job deserve the same pay? Cause a lot of people get payed differently to do the same job.
First off, women's hormones cause their emotions to go way out of balance during stressful situations rendering them less effective.
BULL SH^T!!!
Secondly, women's monthly cramping and the likelihood of young women getting pregnant and having babies is likely.
EXCUSE ME? I DON"T HAVE MONTHLY CRAMPING I THINK THE PMS THING IS BULL SH^T.
NOT EVERY WOMAN HAS KIDS. MEN DON'T MIND GOING AROUND MAKING THEM EVERY WHERE, PROBABLY LIKE YOUR MALE CHAUVINISTIC @SS
Here's a definition if you don't know what it means------Prejudiced belief in the superiority of one's own gender, group, or kind:
occupations such as seamstress - their small feminine hands and domestic skills help make them much better at sewing.
I CAN SEW BUT I DON'T LIKE TOO,BUT I CAN ALSO BOW HUNT. I BET YOUR PANSY @SS CAN'T KILL YOUR OWN FOOD OR TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF IN THE WILD!!!!!
Men today aren't half of what they use to be.

yes they should be paid the same...or maybe even more! women can do alot of jobs just as well or even better than men. and yes women get pregnant, but that doesn't mean they can't work. i worked right up until i gave birth with both or my babies, and yes there were some things i couldn't do, but i still did the best that i could. i think that alot of the time women work even harder then men, because they feel like they need to prove themselves to morons like you.

Yes! My friend was telling me about how she works in the same company with her fiance. Well, she has loads of paper work, phone calls to make and answer, faxes to fax, etc. to do everyday. He has 20 percent of the work she has and is able to go bike-riding for 2 hours each day and gets paid much more than she. It really pisses her off.

Blah! Men are just as hormonal as women and men are the main reason there are sexual harassment cases at work. I imagine from people such as yourself that don't feel a pretty woman has a brain or an opinion. This is 2007, not 1907.

You are opening a big can of worms with this, dude!
For the record, I disagree, if it's the same job and they are doing the same as a guy, should be equal pay.
Forget the whole stress/baby thing, from what I understand, I don't think any male on this earth would particularly want to go through childbirth. Hats off in my book.

You just never learn, do you?? lol I believe women should have equal pay. You must admit, that some men can be slackers. If a woman can handle it, go for it.

lets see: im a woman and im not gonna say that we are not emotional and all that stuff. But we certainly can deal with more stuff than most men, plus we can do the job better than them, and all that crap about we should get a lower pay, is lame, coz we deserve the pay and the recognition for the job we do. those times where womans where behind males are GONE
