I am writing a research paper on beauty in Pride and Prejudice. It is supposed to be based off of literary criticism pertaining to our theme and book. However, I am finding very little information. If you could let me know soon, that would be very helpful! Thank you!

Questia is an Online Library and you should get a lot of resources here. The link below was a search result when i tried to search with Pride and Prejudice as the key word. Try to refine the search to your requirement and you may come across what you want.

Sorry, but though I love the book and all the movies based on it, I don't know how much this will help. Tough question!!

Let's see. There was the "too bad se isn't handsomer" spoken about Charlotte Lucas. Then there was how Mr. & Mrs. Bennet spoke about Jane's beauty and how it was all for something (like how it won her the eye and then the love of Mr. Bingly). Also how Mrs. Bennet thought that Darcy was handsome until he was rude...then he was ugly and arrogent.

Now that I think of it, beauty is a theme in P&P. Elizabeth thought that Darcy was an ugly, arrogent man until she saw his true character, and then he was the handsomest man she ever knew, both inside and out. And also how Darcy thought Elizabeth was too beneth him to even consider dancing with , but then he saw her personality and her strength, and he admired that and eventually loved her.

Hope that helped a little. Sorry I couldn't help more than that.

maybe how Darcy at first thought that Lizzie wasn't even worth looking at, but as he grew to love her she became beautiful to him. beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.
