I need to get the inner tube out of the fork assembly on a yamaha pw50 (2005). I know there is a snap ring at the top, and got that out as well as other the metal slide, collar, and spring rebound, but can't get anything else out. this is the left fork if that makes any difference. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

If it's bent, it may be catching internally. I would suggest removing it completely and checking this and if bent gradually straightening it by applying pressure while clamped securely in a vice. Hope this helps. If not take it to a shop (just the fork) and have them do it. Shouldn't cost much. Good luck.

The snap ring is the only thing holding the forks together. The tube should just pull out.
The fork you're having problems with might be damaged.
Try disassembling the other one. It might come apart easier and show you how everything works.
