If it came down to picking a job tell me what you would choose to be. Either a Elementary or Middle School Teacher or a Television News Reporter or Anchor. And tell me why you chose that. Thanks!

A teacher. Its a more realistic career choice. Plus you get summers, weekends, holidays, and snow days off. And you're done work by about 4. And the pay is darn good. (don't let the other teachers fool you. They like to complain for some reason) I think a reporter or an anchor would be a cool job, but I bet it would be hard to get into that business.

Teacher. It's a more noble profession wih less competition. News reporting is very competetive and political. It's also a cut-throat, survival of the fittest-type profession. Like acting or professional sports, there are only a very few who really make it big time.

Teaching is a very satisfying profession, and the world needs many more good educators. But the pay is fairly poor and there isn't much room for advancement. Most educators are in that field for a lot more than just the pay. They work a lot of extra hours because they really care, and because that's just who they are and what they do.

In Elementary schools you usually work with little kids and have them all day. Middle school you work with teens and have a variety but they can all mis-behave same for elementary schools.
In being a news anchor you might have weird hours so I would do middle school, because you get a chance to work with old enough kids, and you have a variety.

Elementary school teacher, just because i think there is more need for elementary school teachers than reporters, and that teachers have a pretty profound effect on the world outside of parents' hands

Go for teaching- it is a safe jobs. Teachers are respectable. You cannot beat the benefits. It is secure and it gives you opportunities to grow.

Anchor is 50%-50% chance.

I personally would pick teaching and I regret that I followed my ambitions and did not select education as my major.

Now I am actually going back to school!

I think i would have made a great teacher because im really good with kids.
But....im a push-over and tend to let them have their way. Everyday would probably be playday in my classroom.
TV reporter-that sounds great also!
It really would be a hard toss up. Myself, i think i would give the TV thing a shot. I am constantly watching the news, my TV stays on CNN 80% of the time. Im a news junkie.
And if it didnt work out i could always go back to repairing furnaces and air conditioners.
