Absolutely. Tex is a better player than Konerko and LIdge is better than Jenks.
Lidge/Tex both have relatively low values right now and are great guys to 'buy low'.

I wouldn't do it. There is no upside in it for you. Texeira was down last year so you would be looking for a come back and the same with Lidge. There is no indication that Konerko will fall off production so even a slight let down will still be around the same as Tex. I am not of big fan of Jenks but they don't really have any other options, MacDougal's arm falls off if he throws more than 2 innings a week so for now Jenks has the job. Lidge blew up last year so I don't know if he saw a shrink in the offseason but he is suspect as well and there will be no hesitation to go Wheeler at the first sign of danger.

No do not make the trade. Konerko will have about 110 RBI .300
batting average Jenks 27-35 saves. Lidge is coming back from injury. Valverde will have about the same # of saves as Jenks.

I would say gamble and do that, Tex is a big leg up and if Lidge gets back to form you get the better end of this deal by far.

no, konerko should have about an equal contribution to texeira, who has really underperformed. plus jenks will be better than lidge.
