Emo means emotional. Emo people may be trying to hide, or blend in, because they feel uncomfortable as who they as a person. Emo people also like red, because red is the color of blood. They like this color, because they like blood, pain, and suffering: (they cut their wrists, so they can take emotional pain and turn it into physical). Dark are often depressing, like the colors found at a funeral. In short: emo's like dark colors because it symbolizes their pain and suffering: both emotionally and physically.

Cos they have.. "dark" souls? Idk.
LOL not all emo kids like dark colours.
I've seen some colourful emos. :P
And emo = emotional.

not all emo kids wear dark clothes.
a lotta people classify me as "emo" but i wear pink, and baby blue, but i wear mostly black, so does this make me "emo"?
emo means emotional.
so...isn't everyone emo who has emotions?
