White Roses have signified many things throughout history. In the late 1800's there was a witch coven with the name. In Germany, prior to WWII there was a group with the name that opposed Hitler and his reign. They were sentenced to death for "spreading leaflets of propaganda". They were college students trying to make a difference. In many religions, its a symbol of purity.Personally, I have always loved white roses, hence the name. My friends even call me rose. My hubby always gives me white roses, as my friends. It means for me purity honesty, and the magic of life. love peace and harmony to you.

Roses are amongst the most mentioned flowers in the religions of this earth. They can be symbolized from bottom to top. Whether it be the flower's colors of blood or pureness and the thorns and smoothness of the stem there are words and meanings that can be brought to mind by a Rose. The flower's petals and their opening can be called a picture of the soul. Secrets have often been hidden "sub rosa" --beneath the rose.
