I truly believe crying during a Movie or TV show is normal just as crying in general is a normal emotion (to a point).

Guys: Do you let the tears roll during a emotional or touching part of a Movie or do you play the "Macho" Part?

Gals: Same question except skip the "Macho" word?

For myself: I let the tears fall where they may :-)

There is a part in the movie "Joy Luck Club," Where I couldn't even begin to contain my tears..

The movie critics warned of this! It was so true and emotional in a certain part

Oh I cry when the movie calls for it. The part in the Lord of the Rings; Return of the King when Aragorn tells Frodo "You kneel to no one." Then of course there's Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp, that was a tear jerker. And Beyond Borders with Angelina Jolie, I don't know anyone who didn't cry when they watched that, even the men that watched it.

This is a GREAT question. Hope the guys see that its OK and stop bugging the women when we let our emotions show.

Thanks

Oh yes, I cry!!!
Not really sobbing crying just tears that flow out. I always cry in movies with weddings and births.
I have had 3 children and I think the feelings of seeing my babies for the first time just flood back.
They are joyous tears.
Same for weddings.
Sad tears fall at seeing someone sad or dying. Actually i cry in war movies too.
Yep I'm a crier, heck, I sometimes even get teary in TV commercials!!

There are certain movies where I bawl my little eyes out. I don't hold it in- like you said! Tears are a very natural emotional expression.
Kudos to you for allowing your human nature rule over your machismo! :-)

There are a lot of things to cry about in real life. The key is understanding that movies are fiction. It is not about being macho.

If I feel like crying, then I do. No point in hiding it. I just hate getting a stuffy nose!
