How do you force a computer to go into standby?

My stepdaughter likes to keep aim running all the time. This prevents the computer from standing by. I turn off aim, she turns it back on, etc. Is there any way to force the computer to standby after so many minutes even though there is a program (such as a game, internet explorer, or aim, etc) running? Thanks.

Hi. Look into the ' Power Options ' area of Control Panel.

Click START
Click TURN OFF COMPUTER
Click STANDBY
