I have new guppy fry. What would you suggest for food? I have a brine shrimp hatchery. Would you suggest brine shrimp or flakes?

Baby brine shrimp is a great first food for baby guppies. By the time your guppies are a week old try to also include some crushed flake food for them. It will help balance their diet so they will grow stronger and faster.

Newly hatched brineshrimp are very nutrititious, how ever after 24 to 28 hours they are not nearly as rich in nutrients(they use them to grow), so hatch small amounts of shrimp frequently and feed the fry finely crushed dry food in between hatches. Keep the water clean, and the temperature warm. Some breeders feed small amounts of hard boiled egg yolk strained through a fine linen hanky as a suppliment. But the most important item is good quality water.-----Good luck.-----PeeTee
