You really want to wait till your body is rid of the BC chemicals. I got pregnant right after I went of BC and miscarried a few months later.
Let your body purge the meds naturally.
Good luck
Oh and Start taking folic acid now, before you get pregnant to prevent defects.

I myself was on depo and after only one shot (May 2006) and constant bleeding I decided NEVER again. The Doctor was calling to remind me about the next shot, she must have lost her mind! Anyway, my husband and I started trying for our first in Dec 06. It's now March 2007 and we are still trying. I've read that it should be out your system by the time it's expired (why'd you think they tell you to use a back up method when the effectiveness is about to end?) Some women get pregnant during the shot, immediately after the shot, few months after or over a year after the shot. The best thing to do is let it get out by itself than trying something that could worsen the situation. You probably don't even need anything, you may be one of the lucky ones.

Well I speak from experience. I was on depo for a total of 7 1/2 years. When trying to get preg with my daughter I took red clover herb and drank lots of green tea. It took me 13 months with doing all those things and like taking temp, checking mucus, ect. I stood on my head each time as well. After my daughter it would have been 4 1/2 years I was on depo. I searched everything possible to get the depo out of my system. I found it easier to switch to the pill for 2 months then detoxify myself. I felt 4 months was better than waiting 12 months or longer like with my daughter. I became pregnant in 2 months. Not saying it will be the same for you but worth a shot. So best thing to do is detoxify yourself. I used the red clover and burdock root which are blood cleansers. I still used green tea. You need to get rid of the depo from your system b4 you can get pregnant. Best of luck.

I took clomid and had an iui in Jan. Then I did acupuncture in Feb and became pregnant after 20 months of trying. I ended up having a miscarriage but my bets are now on continuing the acupuncture.

If you want to start TTC, then the best option is to talk to your GYN. Get on pre-natals.
