Well this probably doesn't help much, but Barbara is actually Latin/Greek in origin. It's not a 'muslim' name, so to speak, but it of course might be popular there. Most countries seem to pick names from all sorts of cultures, and in turn, these names become popular in that culture, and sound like names from that culture, even when the origin isn't that culture.

Im not muslim but i live where there are a large number of muslim folks living, and I always thought their names sounded very nice! But if you are looking for something more american here are a few.
