"what if i get pregnant??" One of the consquences of having sex IS pregnancy...and only YOU can answer your own question...Why don't you ask your boyfriend that question? Ask him if the is financially and emotionally prepared to raise a child for the next 18 years at least...is he financially prepared to pay that child's college tuition? If not then he'd better start saving for it now because by the time that child reaches college age tuition is going to muliply 10 times what it is today. Do BOTH you and your boyfriend have jobs that pay FAR above minimum wage that also afford you great benefits such as health/dental/vision benefits as well as hospitaliztion? Because you're going to need it during your pregnancy with all the prenatal visits and of course you'll need it for the hospital when you have the baby and for all of the post natal/well baby visits until the child is schoolaged.
So what IF you get pregnant?

I think it is very good to see a responsible teen on here for once. Condoms and birth control are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence. If this guy truely likes you (for you and not just because you have a vagina) he will wait until you two are older and *gasp* married. lol Congrats on having a level head! Good luck!

Talk to your doctor about the most effective birth control. However, the reality is nothing is 100%. I have a friend who got pregnant in spite of using the pill faithfully!

In a nutshell, if you aren't ready for a baby, you probably aren't ready for sex.

Wait until you are ready. And when you do make sure you are using protection. Better yet use 2 types. Take the pill and use a condom. You sound smart not want to have a child at a young age try to keep it that way.

I don't think that you should have sex unless you are going to enjoy it w/o having to worry about getting pregnant. Use a condom. They work more than they don't. They never failed me. I hope that you make the right choice. I am not against sex, but if you do get pregnant, I ask that if you cannot handle a baby, please adopt. Best wishes.

If you both feel you are ready for sex then use the right protection, get yourself on some birthcontrol, and make sure he wears a condom.

Use protection.

Planned Parenthood gives you free birth control.

Condoms, pills, shots, and any other form that you'd like.
