PS2 randomly quit working?

Question

well I was told our ps2 quit working, none of the disks will be read and its the new small kind...but these cds even with a few small scratches worked a day ago and nothing has changed....we havent had it for long any way ps2 would furnish a new one probably not, but what should I do?>

Yes I have had the same problem but when I used my DVD lense cleaner it worked.

dafinantly try the lens cleaner, but if not just lens needs cleaning try resurfacing your games or (removing the scratches) in other words this will make the games easier to read and put less stress on the the playstation itself because the more you scratch a game the harder the laser has to work to read the game, make sure you clean the playsation regulary with canned air and dust it as well it will prevent such things from happening. If you are having the disk read error, buy an air can at a computer store and open it and blow off the laser or just wipe it off with rubbing alcohal. If that fails Sony IS very good about replacing them I had one break down after 4 years and I got a free replacement.

Try using a cd lens cleaner they sell them at wal mart

jiggle the wires, examine the bulbs, examine the battery. (In series, the two lighting fixtures fixtures (LED?) have a voltage drop which lowers the present in each and each, yet in parallel you get greater currents. you decide on a pair hundred ohm resistor to decrease the present or the LED burns out.)

there's not much you can do. it commited suicide because the PS3 came out and now no one cares about it.
