I've found that when i recently started my period, i've been abnormally super drowsy; and in result of that, i've been gaining weight and getting a lot of pimples! Is there a way such as, a kind of food, drink, or exercise that i should do to give me a boost of energy to keep me going throughout the day?

Its normal to gain weight an get pimples when you start your period as the hormones in your body are readjusting as you grow up. In terms of you being tired this is very likely to be caused by anaemia. Anaemia is when your body doesn’t have enough red blood cells which are needed to transport oxygen around your body. When you don’t have enough oxygen in your blood stream you become sleepy as your body requires oxygen for activity. So your body shuts down to ensure you have enough oxygen to survive. Anaemia is comen in women as we lose a lot of blood during our periods and the cells that carry oxygen around the body are found in our blood. To boost your energy you need to eat more iron rich foods which will enable your body to produce more red blood cells. This includes green leafy vegetables, spinach is one of the best sources of iron, and red meat.

Exercising would also help to stabilise your weight and would produce adrenaline which would keep you awake.

Anemia is common in females at that time of the month. My suggestion would be to take a daily vitamin to help keep all your vitamin and nutirent levels up, make sure you get 8 hours of sleep, try and do some cardio and I don't know if it actually helps, but my sistyer swears by it and that's green tea. I've heard Green tea really has a great energy boodt benefits to it.

Well, when I work out, I like to drink Vitamin water. Either the red one (I think it's dragonfruit + vitamin C) or the yellow one (it has natural caffine and guarana in it). I think these are great engery boosters. Plus they taste great.
