My absolute favorite type of music is Gospel. Reason being everything begins and ends with God, as far as I'm concerned. Everyone and everything that exists is so existent due to God, and I absolutely, positively love glorifying God, honoring God, praising God, thanking God, and worshipping God, even in music=song! R&B is second to me.

i really like good rock. rock in general, because i like classic rock, alternative, punk, metal..... a lot of stuff. then their is a few oldies and a few pop songs that i like with other random throw in.
the only music that i really can't stand is the majority of hip-hop and rap. i just don't enjoy the majority of it, but i still respect them (even if rockheads and hip-hop/rap lovers usualy have a deep dislike for each other) the one other thing is someone who tries to make music just for the fame and fortune. some rock bands out their are sort of rip-offs, they play what people want to hear and don't play just for the joy of it..... the state of music these days is going down in some areas i think. there is mix boards, where you can change a persons voice in studio and make it sound brilliant, when in fact they sound pretty bad....
i'm not kidding watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBtch7pbkAE
that just wants to make me cry, and i don't even care what genre of music it is, it's just the fact that people cheat now and it's beginning to get fake.

Music from the 40's. Big Band and Swing.
Last generation of musicians that had to actually have talent before electronics came along and made up for the mediocre talent to come. I'm NOT saying there aren't talented musicians out there, just that most rely on technology now-a-days to make up for their lack of...

I love any kind of alternative/rock music. The lyrics are so above stupid rap & pop and actually have a deeper meaning.
