the type of motorcycle i have is a 2002 yamaha yzf r6 and the tips need to be screwed off but the bolts that hold the tips in are rusted...any special way to get those tips off without messing up my handlebars.

The "handle bar weights" have "locktight" on the threads of the screws. You'll either need a hand held or air impact wrench to remove them.

Easiest way to deal with a buggered up screw is to drill the head off. After that pull the part over the screw then you can use visegrips to get the rest out.

Sears has a tool called BOLT-OUTS they are like sockets with teeth that grip and take off busted or rounded off nuts or bolts. I have used them many times and they work great.
