It might look like a silly question, but there are a lot of people who blindly follow in the footsteps of their parents or friends or teachers, without examining their own beliefs and knowing what's right for them. Do you really know yourself?

It is a learning process. Everyday, I find I try to keep what I loved about my parents and others growing up and weigh that with who I am to make myself the individual I want to be, at 44 it is still a process.
I want my children to "know themselves too" I find they are doing a better job then I have, they have learned from me. I am strong on independence. lol

yes I believe I do.... but I only know what I know, and I don't know what I don't know. Just like everyone else.
As a reward I am very happy and healthy and engaged to be married soon.
If I took my parent advise all the time, I would work a ta job I hate and still be single.

Yes, I know myself quite well. I didn't have anyone to follow blindly in their footsteps. I was basically raised by wolves, which isn't all bad when I compare myself to others.

I do not have any heroes or role models. I know myself and I accept me for what I am because I have no one to blame me on.............................

I know myself very well. I'm the only one that's been there through everything I've experienced. Plus, I'm nothing like my parents. In fact, I'm more like my uncle. I just do whatever I want to do and not what I believe others would approve of. If that means I know myself, then fine.

Yup.....I have some traits as my parents...but I am different. They were religious catholics....I am a recovered catholic...tho Iam spiritual....Their happiness centered around people.. My happiness centers around solitude. I love working with people but I perfer to be alone....You see I am a loner....I love to read...always learning new things....Been studying Budhism a few years....It keeps me on track... I don't read newspapers nor do I watch the news on TV. Like Mother used to say, "what will be will be." "Its out of my hands....why worry." That pretty much sums it up....

Yes I know me well. I do as I feel and think. I learned many years ago to make myself happy and I don't care what others think of me. At my age I'm me
