well, which is it silly. African American- or Black. Actually that is neither here nor there. I am a young white female and I am really offended that you would ask such a question UNLESS you are speaking of older African Americans. My Black friends tell me they are not African Americans. They are Americans who happen to be Black. I have never heard any of them refer to Clinton as "our first Black president". You must be talking about older African Americans. Is that it? Or maybe you are just asking a slily question.
and btw, YOUNG Americans who happen to be Black that I know don't really care about Bill Clinton or the fact that he had a little fun while in the White House. They feel that whatever he did was no ones business but Hilary's and the rest of his family. So unless you KNOW how people feel, as I do, discontinue citing Fox 5 and other news sources who don't know squat about Blacks.

My girlfriend is black and she is more offended when people refer to her as "African American"...she's American.

Most black people I know don't care about Clinton or what people refer to him as. They are more offended by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson being called spokesmen for blacks or as black leaders.

they love him....but that title they give him doesn't change what color his skin is.....everyone can see that he's white. i don't care about the color of the president's skin but some people sure do.
