The time period I am talking about is around the Gold Rush era..
The treaties the government broke were the land reserved for the Native Americans, and the Gold mines were found in CA, the Gov took the land back......Should the U.S. government compensate Native Americans for broken treaties?

to your question regarding compensation i suggest you read about how our kinder and gentler neighbor to the north (Canada), compensated their indigenous peoples the inuit. another example is how we are trying to compensate our native born japanese that were wrongly interred during world war II. the answer is indeed we should.

My tribe was paid via a Land CLaims settlement for the land taken from us in Nevada. The amount we settled on came no where near the value of the land.. When you ask "should" the US government be sued, the answer is: not only have they been sued for broken treaties, most tribes have won in court over that very issue.

Nope. the goverment has given them land for reservations which is COMPLETLY TAX FREE....they dont need any more retributions since their making a killing on casinos and bringing in TAX FREE MONEY.
