The game is Gears of War, the cut starts in the center plastic part and extends about halfway radially outward into the silver underside, the cut is only on the readable side of the disk, i have tried wiping it off and it doesnt come off it is literally a cut is there some sort of fluid or something that fills cracks this large? This game is expensive so I dont want to have to buy a new one.

You might want to browse www.bestbuy.com and see if you can find any CD fixers. I have bought a Scratch Doctor, and it works really well. They may not make then anymore, but other products should work just as well. I hope this helps.

if it's normal wear and tear i think there is something wrong with the manufacturer. I would definately take it back and write a letter to the company. the 1 that makes the disk and the 1 that makes the xbox. keep a copy of both letters and keep trying until you get a response. often they'll replace it. :)

If you can find a place to do it you may be able to have it buffed. Or if you have the right xbox360. You can convert it to play copied games.
