I took a lot of pictures yesterday, and got some disk read errors when viewing them on the camera. I hooked it up to my computer, and a lot of the images will not copy to the computer now, but the thumbnail previews show up. When I double click on one of these images, I get a small sliver at the top of the screen with a bit of the image, but not anywhere close to the whole thing that I am seeing in the thumbnail window.
The images also do not import correctly into Picassa.
Can I do anything to get back my pictures? They are really important!

I am not sure if this will help, but there is a free program http://www.irfanview.com that does some great stuff with graphics and photos. There is also a free add-on listed that offers you the ability to make custom screensavers from your photos. Hope this helps
