After all why should America want to deny another country nuclear weapons, it is the only country to ever use them against inocent peoples.

No, America should not attack Iran or anyone. I think it is time for America, and the rest of the world to put the money and resources wasted on war towards peace and helping people. But sadly I feel that Barbara"s answer, may come closer to the truth than we want to believe.
Maybe we need to stop fearing God, and start living by His words, Thou Shalt Not Kill!!!!

Iran has expressed belligerent tendencies in the region, and supports terrorists in other countries. Ergo, it would not be good for them to have nuclear weapons.
The current president of Iraq was one of the militants that invaded the US Embassy at Tehran in 1979, and took everybody hostage. This shows a total lack of respect for international law and custom; an Embassy is considered foreign soil and is sacred.
The US at least used the nukes in a defensive war, with the aim of minimizing deaths. I know this is hard to imagine now, but conventional war can also result in massive casualties; over 400,000 US troops died in WWII, all from conventional means.
