i am a bit of a perfectionist, and i have a problem with criticism...even if it is just constructive criticism...i know its not usually a personal attack, but i have issues with it just the same...Whats a good way to just accept it and move on instead of getting mad at myself and others?

do you know anybody who is perfect? one who has never made a mistake??? i didn't think so. We're human beings, YOU are a human being. Everyone makes mistakes whether large or small. if you continue to stress over the little stuff and beat yourself up, you're going to have health issues. its' not healthy to be like this. Just ask yourself this question whenever you feel like being down on yourself...... am i going to remember this in a year or is it going to affect me a year from now? Think of something that will help you remember that you are capable of making mistakes. Think of something that will remind you that whatever you "messed" up isn't going to affect your life tremendously and people will forget about it.
Just chill out and enjoy life!

Criticism can sometimes be a persons friend or their enemy. I see it as my friend. I've been criticized my whole life, at first it really got to me until I looked inside the box and realized that I could take this criticism and make myself even better. Nobody is perfect but if your a perfectionist then look at it this way, when your criticized and it's good criticism then listen to what that person has to say, then you can use it and make your self better and closer to perfection the next time you do it. As long as it's good criticism there is no reason to get upset because in the long run it will improve who you are and what you do.

Kind of like Yahoo Answers.
Bunch of kids out there just looking for entertainment and have nothing better to do than poke fun, just to get a reaction.

No monument has ever been errected to a critic.
Those that do the most, make the most mistakes.

Here, read this stuff.

Every time you feel an emotional reaction, ask yourself "what would a reasonable person do with this information?"

Just asking yourself that at the time will put your mindset in a healthy position where you can deal with it. Seriously.

Read "The Narcissistic Family". You are likely to find your answers in there. Good luck!

it's called "maturity."
however, you could have someone "pretend" to criticize you, and see if you could practice taking it with a grain of salt...
good luck!
