When I turned 25 I realized I was almost 30.

The past several months have been an eye-opener for me:
*After my bout with kidney stones, waiting to undergo the surgical procedure, I spoke with the anesthesiologist:
**A total babe, educated, spoke French, had pretty much the same interests as myself.
**She was only about five yrs. older than my oldest daughter.
*I tried to demonstrate a jumping roundhouse kick (mawashi geri) with a front snap; kick (mae geri) feint to my youngest daughter in the living room one evening.
**I was already warmed up.
**I couldn't walk straight for a week.
*I recognized an unusual last name on the P.E. uniform of a P.E. student where I'm a high school teacher.
**She was the 14 yr. old niece of a former student of mine (who's now in her thirties, and has three children of her own ...).
Ouch ...

I haven't really felt like that yet. I have noticed when I get sick with a cold or the flu it takes me longer to bounce back from it.
Mentally I grew up once I had children.

That would be two years ago when I received a wedding invitation of a close friend of my age.

When I couldn't breathe, could not swim, could not run, could not walk the dog, could not clean the house, could not go to work, could not dance and could not jump. Top that, Cat.
